Well Allen Kosier and I had decided to go try out a new track that we have never been to. SC RC(Space Coast RC) indoor race track. Nice place and great track. Allen decided he wanted to drive his B4.1 2wd Buggy and E-Buggy today. It was pretty much a test day to see which VP tires worked good on this kind of track for us. In the 2wd Buggy 1st qualifyer we had VP ProUSA Strikers Super Softs on rear and Square Rib in the fronts. Seemed to work really good. Finished 7th in all 3 qualifiers. the 2nd Qual we tried the VP ProUSA Turbo Trax on the rear. The were a bit more loose than the Strikers. So on the 3rd qual we went back to Strikers and was alot better. But for the main were seemed to be fighting speed all day to make it a bit faster and not to fast. Finished 6th in the main. Never had this happen before both body clips came off of the body in the main and cost us to loose alot of track time.
For the 4wd E-Buggy He did really well in the quals finished 3rd twice and 4th once in his heats. We tried the VP ProUSA Gripz super soft and worked really well except by the end of the 3 quals they were bald(Lots of traction at this track). This was his first race in the E-buggy that had 12 cars in it for Allen. There were alot of fast drivere and by the mains we had to switch over to the VP ProUSA Striker Evo tires and they seemed to be working really well for him. Since this was our first time to this track we had been working on setup for the E-buggy all day. Finally got it dialed in a bit more than it was when we first got there. Just had not enough for the regulars that are there every week. We did have other drivers come up and tell me Allen did a great job being only his 4th race in this class. Saying he was holding his line great and not beating on everyone. He ended up finishing 11th, but learned alot today at this new track.
I would say it was a good learning day for Allen going to another new track. We will write down the adjustments made at this track so we can try more next time at SCRC. We would like to thank our Sponsors VP Pro USA, North Florida Hobbies, D&D Racing and Chassis
